Nestled just 6 km from Elbasan, the village of Godolesh, affectionately known as the “Cherry Village,” has been transformed into a winter wonderland, blanketed in pristine snow this January.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared enchanting images of the picturesque tourist destination on social media, remarking, “Godolesh in Elbasan, draped in a white cloak of snow.”
The fresh snowfall has bestowed a magical charm upon the village, with its signature red-roofed houses adding to its unique allure.
Godolesh is also celebrated for its annual cherry harvest festival, a cherished tradition that not only highlights the region’s beloved fruit but also serves as an excellent opportunity to promote tourism and the area’s rich natural resources.
