Bild: Albania, the Top Destination for 2025; Unspoiled Nature and Away from Mass Tourism
In the early days of January, major European media outlets have turned their focus to identifying the top travel destinations set to dominate tourism in 2025.
The renowned German tabloid Bild has listed several European hotspots expected to trend this year, placing Albania at the very top.
Albania is no longer just a destination for local vacationers; in 2025, it is poised to become a sought-after spot for sunseekers and beach lovers.
“Crystal-clear waters, small bays, and picturesque coastal villages like Ksamil and Himara are attracting visitors to the Albanian Riviera,” the article states. While mass tourism remains a key issue across Europe, Albania offers a refreshing alternative.
“Unlike the overcrowded Mediterranean regions, here you can still find secluded beaches and enjoy unspoiled nature,” the article highlights.
In Bild’s recommendations, Albania is ranked alongside other destinations such as Puglia in Italy, the Azores, Slovenia, Georgia, and North Macedonia.
Between January and August of last year, Albania welcomed over 253,000 German tourists, reflecting an impressive growth of over 18%.
By November 2024, and while awaiting December’s figures, Albania had already recorded over 11 million foreign visitors.
